The four AKG C 518 M’s included in the AKG Drum Set Big II mic kit are, miniature condensers used to mic the snare and toms of a drum set.

Its cardioid polar pattern, the excellent clamp and gooseneck, provides for very accurate positioning. This together with the switchable bass-cut, helps in the rejection of overspills from the near by instruments, thus giving a very clean capture from the toms.
