The M-Audio Octane is an 8-channel preamp and A/D converter with ADAT Lightpipe, which adds a further 8-channels to our interface - the Digi003 Rack Factory.

We use it primarily in the recording of live drums and other instances where more simultaneous track recordings are needed.

It also provides for real-time M-S matrix encodings for stereo mic-ing needs.
